The first day of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in five districts under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) was held peacefully today.
Control room sources said there was no expulsion of candidates from any center on the first day in Chittagong, but 279 students were absent from Bengali First Paper examination today.
A total of one lakh one thousand 143 out of one lakh one thousand examinees from 1,007 high schools participated in 169 centers.
A total of 72 vigilance teams including 12 special ones formed by the CEB authorities are monitoring situation in and outside the centers to check any sorts of copying during the examination.
Mohammad Mahbub Hasan, controller of CEB told BSS the examination was held in a peaceful and fair manner.
